Identify Words by Beginning Sound

On Iqleel, first-grade students will practice finding words that start with a specific beginning sound. They will be given a target letter, like 'm', and then choose the picture or word from a group that starts with the /m/ sound, like 'moon'. This activity reinforces the letter-sound correspondence they have learned and applies it to word recognition. This is an important Phonics skill that directly helps with decoding and builds confidence in beginning readers.
