Add Tens and Ones Using a Number Line

Add tens and ones using a number line!

2nd Grade - Math - Add within 100

About This Skill

In this skill, Grade 2 students practice adding 2-digit numbers by breaking them into tens and ones. Using a number line, they start at one addend and make "jumps" for the tens and ones of the second addend to arrive at the sum. With adaptive questions and instant feedback, this practice reinforces place value concepts and builds flexible mental math strategies.
