Complete the Word with a Three-Letter Consonant Blend
Spell with three-letter blends: listen for all three sounds!
2nd Grade - English Language Arts - Consonant Blends
About This Skill
This Iqleel skill helps second-grade students practice spelling words that begin with three-letter consonant blends. Students look at a picture and an incomplete word, then choose the correct three-letter blend to complete it. For example, they add “str” to “__eet” to form the word “street.” The skill builds students’ ability to hear each individual sound within a consonant blend and apply it accurately when spelling. Mastering three-letter consonant blends is an essential phonics skill that supports decoding and spelling more complex words.
