Number Words: One to Ten

How many stars do you see? Kindergarteners practice counting groups of objects and matching them to the correct number words from one to ten. Number words tell how many objects there are. Count the objects first. Then match the number to its word. Example: 3 stars = three 7 dots = seven The word and the amount must mean the same number. Read the word slowly, look at each letter, and check it with the count.
